Haven't worked (a lot) with the SQL CE and Compact databases, which means I'm not really familiar with the limitations of them.

Haven't looked into the current year issue (yet).
I'll redesign this blog in the near future, so will probably look into it at that time.
It could be the Archives control has a bug in it.

Comment on Getting the Orchard archive to work in your blog by Bart Lannoeye

The first query to update [Common_CommonPartRecord] table is enough for the archives to work. No need to run the query with the cursor (which is not even possible when using SQL CE), except if you really want all your dates to be correct in the backend. All you need is trigger the RecalculateBlogArchive method like you explained.
Any luck on the current year?

Comment on Expression trees, delegates, functors how and why to use them by Wilco

Good job Jan! I've got no idea where you find the time to write, since you've got such a busy job ;-)

Heeft wat voeten in aarde gehad, maar werkt nu toch een stuk stabieler.
Bij SQL CE kreeg ik zo nu en dan file locks, wat natuurlijk niet echt wenselijk is bij een database voor een website.
